Erasmus in Bulgaria – it was a great experience

Milo Codato is one of the Erasmus students in UNWE. He is from France and is studying at the IUT in Valence – in marketing techniques with a specialization in international business.

Most of the chosen disciplines in his program during his semester in Bulgaria are taught by International Economic Relation Department.

– How did you choose Bulgaria and UNWE as a destination for your Erasmus semester?

– I chose Bulgaria to see a bit of Eastern Europe and have something different. UNWE is a partner of my school in France, so the choice was logical.

– This semester, most of the disciplines you have chosen are taught by International Economic and Business Department – European Economy, International Trade, International Pricing Practices and Supply Chain Management. What can you share about these subjects and the level of teaching?

– There was quite a difference between the subjects in terms of the work involved and the teaching. I think the most difficult was International Pricing Practices, with its intense classes and complicated tests.

– What is different about the education process in Bulgaria in comparison with France?

– It’s much quieter here, with few school hours and no obligation to go to school. Students can come and go at any time, which is impossible here.

– What do you like about Bulgaria?

– Bulgaria is an interesting country to visit because it’s a change from France! The Bulgarian students are very nice, it was a great experience.

– Would you recommend UNWE to your colleagues as a destination for an Erasmus exchange?

– If you’re looking for a change of scenery and a change from France, this is a good option for me! But if you want a lot of activity, Sofia doesn’t provide much for a capital city, so you’ll have to visit other cities or neighboring countries.
