Being creative is really important

Veidehi Upasani is a student from India who chooses International Economic Relations“ (education in English language) in UNWE for her bachelor’s degree.

Veidehi graduated successfully in 2024 and she excelled in creativity and adaptability. Now she shares more about education in International Economic Relations Department.

– You recently graduated a bachelor’s degree in „International Economic Relations“. What does it take to achieve excellent success in IER?

– I believe, to be able to successfully graduate the IER specialty, one needs to put a lot of hard work when it comes to achieving a higher academic goal, apart from this I personally think that getting hands-on experience in the field you are studying plays a vital role in the understanding the concepts that are being taught at the University.

– During the training what was the biggest challenge?

– The course was academically challenging with a lot of course work and Presentations. In the beginning when I joined language was a slight barrier, even though I was studying in English. But later with time it was better, as I adapted to it.

– What was the most interesting and different thing about our specialty?

– I believe it is most unique specialty which is not even available as a bachelor’s degree in many countries. It is a amalgamation of Economics, business, international relations, and law. It makes an excellent choice of degree for me because it has job prospects in several sectors and is not only limited to one particular field. It broadens the horizon of the learners and make them ready for the professional world.

– What qualities that IER has built in you, are the most applicable and useful in practice?

– I think being creative is one of the things which is very important and I have acquired it during my university years  because we are challenged every day to think out of box, and present a solution. You have to be very creative in the presentations and course work. Apart from this IER have equipped me with knowledge in various subjects.

– What are your professional expectations after the graduation?

– I plan to pursue a career as a business consultant specifically in strategy consulting in the big four, and later to work in an international organization like UN or World Bank.
